As a team, we were tasked to reach out to a designer or studio that resonates with our interests and career objectives.
Description

We were assigned the task of identifying a designer or studio that aligns with our individual interests and professional aspirations. After conducting extensive research and meticulous analysis, we unanimously agreed upon Demande Speciale and Baillat Studio, two highly reputable graphic design studios situated in the heart of Montreal.

Our decision to choose these studios was deeply influenced by their unwavering commitment to taking on ambitious projects and their willingness to push the boundaries of conventional design norms. Both studios have earned recognition for their innovative and unique approach to design, and we were eager to delve deeper into their creative processes and learn from their experiences. To showcase our findings and highlight the key differences between the two studios, we documented our comprehensive interview process in the form of two posters. Each poster was thoughtfully designed to contrast in terms of color, typography, and layout, providing a visually captivating and informative comparative analysis of both studios. Our aim was to present our research in a visually compelling and memorable way that would leave a lasting impression on our audience.

About
Atima Ng is a graphic designer based in Montreal. Her focus is on developing brand identities with a passion for creating visual experiences. Her approach is centered around creating contrast in all her projects, whether it be through the use of colour, typography, or animation.

Atima currently works at Square as a Visual Designer. She is a graduate of Concordia University, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Design in 2023, building on the knowledge and experience she gained from her DEC in Graphic Design at Dawson College in 2020. Throughout her academic journey, she worked with several non-profit organizations, including Sticky Rice Magazine and ASFA Concordia, where she engaged in various graphic design, web design, and photography projects aimed at promoting interculturalism within the Montreal community.

Over the years, Atima has worked with a diverse range of clients across the Culture, Tech, and Fashion industries. Her goal is to continue working as a graphic designer and art director, helping brands to elevate their identity and effectively communicate their message to their target audience.
